Into the Qur’an: Let it Enrich Your Soul and Your Life

‎بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـانِ الرَّحِيمِ

‎السَّلآمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وبَرَكآتُه to all my blog readers and subscribers. Hope you are all doing well.

I am sorry that I have been unable to update this blog as often as I would like (monthly).

However, the blogging hiatus has not been because of some writer’s blogger’s block or anything bad, alhamdulillah. I have just been focusing my writing/editing energies elsewhere, and all praises to Allah, my self-publishing projects do require more of my exclusive time and meticulous editing effort, than blogging.

Anyhow, I am happy to report that I have some great news to share today!

International Islamic Publishing House has published my second book! It is a compilation of my reflections upon the Qur’an.

Here is a shot of the book cover:

I am immensely grateful to Allah for allowing me to write this book! It is a heavy work, replete with my thoughts, analyses, and reflections upon the Qur’an: approximately 400 pages.

I am so grateful that this book was published by a credible Islamic publishing company, such as IIPH. Their team of editors, proofreaders, fact-checkers, content editors, reviewers, cover designers, and other helpers, have put in hours of toil to bring forth this final product, now available for the world to read. I ask Allah to reward them all greatly, in both worlds.

They have done me a huge favor by polishing my writing and meticulously checking everything that I wrote. As a self-publisher who has been struggling and striving to publish all her content as books, since the past 3 years, I can now empathetically testify just how hard it is to get a book finally into print, completely error-free.

The good news for international readers and bibliophiles is that this, my second traditionally published book, “Into the Qur’an: Let it Enrich Your Soul and Your Life” is available for immediate purchase on the IIPH website.

Yes, that means that you can click/tap here to buy it from the IIPH website, and have it shipped to you right now! It is currently listed in their “New Arrivals” section.

They deliver/ship the book to the following countries, according to these timelines:

Africa: 15-40 days
Asia & Australasia: 15-31 days
Europe & UK: 15-31 days
Middle-East: 7-21 days
USA: 4-9 weeks
Canada: 20-31 days
Central & South America: 4-9 weeks

For those of my local (Pakistan-based) readers who might not already know this, as of now, all Meezan Bank visa debit cards and mastercards can be used easily to make online payments. Perhaps the debit cards of the Islamic branches of other banks can also be used for such payments (call your bank to ask).

This means that you, as a Pakistani with a local Islamic bank’s visa or master debit card, can also purchase this book online, using this debit card, and have my new book couriered to you.

Update: This book is now available for all Pakistan-based readers, followers, and Islamic bibliophiles, at Dawah Books. Click/tap here to buy it online, and to also view some of its pages. Dawah Books ships worldwide. You can also just walk into their store to buy the book. Their store is located in Khadda Market, DHA phase 5, Karachi (you can use the Google Maps app to locate them).

In addition, I am happy to report that the online Islamic store, Tadabbur Books, which is also based in Karachi, now has this book in stock well. It is available for immediate purchase for all those who are based in Pakistan (& UAE). They will deliver the book to you, and you can pay them with the easier option of full cash upon delivery. You can Whatsapp them on this number: +92-333-3957-498

Click here to purchaseInto the Qur’an: Let it Enrich Your Soul and Your Life” online from Tadabbur Books, and have it delivered to your doorstep. You can also view a few of its pages.

I would suggest that you please take the leap and start to get the hang of making online payments. The world is fast moving towards a single, unified economy and currency. It is high time we all made ourselves familiar with online ordering and delivery of products (from both local and international retailers). Online commerce and retailing is the new name of the game.

I also know for a fact that does ship books to Pakistan. The books are delivered within 3 weeks.

Here is a look at the back cover of my new book:

And here is a shot of the table of contents, highlighting the title and subtitles of one of my favorite chapters in the book:

This book has my reflections on Surah’s Al-Kahf and Yusuf, among other topics (such as my right to personal privacy).

I hope & pray that Allah accepts this work from me, and makes it an ongoing charity in my favor, allowing it to add to my record-book of deeds even long, long after I am gone and my body has turned to dust. Ameen.

Another new book: “My Hijab, My Identity”

While I am at it, I might as well announce the arrival of my other, recently self-published book too, which is titled “My Hijab, My Identity“.

I self-published this book earlier this year, in February 2018. It is available for purchase on

Click/tap here to buy it on Kindle.

Alternatively, you may click/tap here, to buy it (as a paperback book) on

The reason I had not announced it yet, was that I had wanted to view a physical proof of it first, since it is a concise, full-color picture book.

Yes, that’s right, it is a coffee-table book of sorts, with full-color pictures inside. Its content endorses and defends a Muslim woman’s right to wear the hijab, jilbab, and (optionally) the niqab, anywhere she may be in the world.

It is a perfect book to buy, for those dignified ladies who wear modest attire (or wish to). And it is also a good book to consider to give as a gift to someone who challenges a Muslim girl or woman for choosing to cover herself more modestly.

Now that #modestfashion is one of the fast-growing fashion industries around the world, I thought that one such book should be out there, in my collection, putting my opinion about modest attire out there for the world to read.

“In-your-face” style.

My style. 😉

To conclude: a big “Thank You!” to my haters

At this point in my life, as I approach age 40, I am actually thankful to all those people (especially those in my extended family) who directed their nasty taunts, disdain, teasing, and sarcastic jibes at me when I started to study the Qur’an and wear modest clothing, back at age 21.

Not that all these critical people would ever read my Islamic books, but at least these naysayers inspired me (in part) to write them!

Today, I say to them, “Thank you”.

And I am thankful foremost to Allah, for putting them in my life, back in my years of youth, because their presence, verbal statements, and actions eventually made me stronger, steadfast, and more patient. Their hate & criticism made me want to not just act upon Islam myself, but also to propagate it to the rest of the world!

May Allah accept all our deeds & efforts in His path, and grant them fruition, growth & eternal rewards. Ameen.

  1. MashaAllah congrats sister that’s really awesome👏😉
I would have a question… do you maybe have tips or some advice on how to learn Arabic or improve ones understanding of the arabic Quran, so that I will no longer need a translation?
I would be really grateful if you could share them ♡
May Allah reward and bless you!

    1. Jazakillah khair!

All the Arabic words in the Qur’an are repeated immensely. If you go through the word-to-word translation of every word, every day, and try to memorize it, then insha’Allah soon you will be able to understand most of the Qur’an directly. This is because of the repetition of the words. This is the method used at Al-Huda, where I studied the Qur’an, and their method enabled us students to eventually understand the Qur’an directly. Perhaps you can join one of their Qur’an tafsir courses to also benefit from this.

Also, you can try visiting the link below, for resources & structured courses on Arabic that can allow you to learn Arabic through dedicated self-study:

Please remember that, in the quest of learning and understanding the Qur’an, one’s own intention, sincerity, and effort matter the MOST in bringing results.

      Hope this helps, sister.

      1. I would like to add since you mentioned word for word Quraan one of the best works in english for word for word explanation of the Quranic vocabulary is the “Word for word meaning of the Quran” by Mohar Ali. His approach isn’t the typical 1 word translation but explains each word with fair detail while giving you the brief intro to every surah.

Also the Tafsir series of Nauman Ali Khan are excellent for one to taste the beauty of the language of the Quraan as he explains the words of the quraan with serious accuracy and precision. He has programme called Bayinah Tv he covers entire Quraan.

  2. Wa alaikum aslam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. I am well, hope you are having a nice day. Congratulations on your new books! May Allah bless your pen/keyboard and make it a sadqa e jariya for you. I want to mention one way of ordering books in Pakistan from Amazon that worked for me when I preferred cash on delivery instead of online payment (this is my personal recommendation, I am not an affiliate), that is to order it via, I used to email their customer support with a link to the Amazon page for the book. They order in bulk monthly and then ship the books to your door. Very convenient, also helps avoid the massive shipping and handling costs that can pile up when you order from Amazon to Pakistan directly.

    1. Jazakillah khair. Thank you, Iqra, for informing my readers about this find! I hope that whoever wants to order any of my self-published Amazon books in Pakistan, will avail this service the way you did. Where there is a will, there is way. 😉
I hope that they also ship to the smaller cities of Pakistan?
I am so grateful to you for sharing this information here. 🙂 May Allah reward you for it, sister.
      بارك الله فيكم

      1. Wa iyyakum. 🙂 They use courier services like TCS, so they also ship to smaller cities. The cash on delivery option is available “in almost all cities across Pakistan”, according to their payments page.

  3. Assalaam alaikum warahmatullahee wabarakaatuhu sister

I can’t tell you how happy I am for you……just marvel at the scope of sadqa e jariya you are producing for yourself….congrats a ton on your achievements. May you be at the receiving end of RasulAllah’s smiling approval and get hugs from all umhaat ul momineen. Aameen

  4. MashaAllah! You.are.blessed! Congratulations on such an outstanding achievement!
Allah has blessed you with a vision for your life here, your children’s lives here, and all your hereafters. I, a lost soul and not knowing what direction my tomorrow will take, see that in you and pray Allah gave me some ounce of that kind of a vision-led life. May Allah increase you! Is my fondest duaa for you for now and forever.

    1. You are not a lost soul. You are merely in transition between two periods in your life. Insha’Allah, you will one day find your way, your passion.
Just refuse to give up, and keep asking Allah for the guidance and means to leave behind a legacy that will help you attain Jannah and Allah’s pleasure.
The same loving dua’s for you. Barak Allahu feek!

  5. Salaam sister, I can’t wait to get my hands on your books. The last bit about starting to dress modestly and study the Quran hit me deeply, because I reverted when I was 19 and I always feel like it’s too late for me to learn Arabic properly enough to study these things, but now I’m inspired again.

    1. وعليكم السلام و رحمة الله اختى
      بارك الله فيك!
I ask Allah to increase you in wealth of religious knowledge, & grant you high ranks of iman and righteous deeds. Ameen.

  6. Assalamu Alaikum
